Psychotherapy
All of us have times when life is difficult and we know that we will not always feel this way. But what about those for whom life feels unsatisfying and unfulfilling; or there is a general feeling of sadness or unhappiness that will not go away?
Often the answer is to be able to talk about how that feels. This is where counselling or psychotherapy can help. Speaking to someone in confidence who is trained to work with you so that you can experience emotional and/or spiritual well-being is the aim of both counselling and psychotherapy.
There are those too who have specific issues that impact on their lives, such as bereavement, sexual abuse, self-injury, sexuality and sexual orientation, gender, anxiety and depression, redundancy, chronic illness, and so on.
These and many other issues can be worked through therapeutically so that healing and growth can take place and emotional and/or spiritual well-being follow.
For those who have more deep-seated difficulties with issues such as abuse, sexuality and sexual orientation, gender, self-injury, domestic violence, addiction or persistent anxiety and depression, a long-term approach using Psychotherapy in (generally) open-ended contracts, is recommended.
If you would like to arrange an appointment for an Initial Consultation please email or contact me by telephone using the details on the Contact Us page.
During the hour long Initial Consultation we can discuss the problems that are bringing you into therapy and how we might work to resolve them. The issues that I have listed are the most common presenting problems of those with whom I have worked in the past. I am willing to consider working with any other issues you may have. The Initial Consultation lasts for one hour (subsequent sessions are 50 minutes duration) and it is there that we can decide whether we think that we can work together.
The cost of the Initial Consultation and all subsequent sessions is £50
